You don't have to stand out on Sunset Boulevard to catch a glimpse of a celebrity. Just close your eyes. Because chances are one out of four that one will show up in your dreams, says Josie Brown, author of "Last Night I Dreamt of Cosmopolitans: The Modern Girl's Dream Dictionary" [St. Martin's Griffin, May 2005].
Her book explains dream symbolism in terms that the hip fashionista readily comprehends: celebrities, pop culture trends, relationship angst, fashion brands?and of course, designer shoes.
That makes perfect sense, says Brown, considering that, on any given day, we are bombarded with hundreds of images?and the majority of those images feature celebrities." "Last year alone, during an average week Britney Spears got over 11,000 column inches of gossipy tidbits written about her, and Jennifer Lopez got over 5,000 inches," explains Brown. "Just think about it: there were more than 450 movies released last year starring people we idolize, and about thirty entertainment magazines staring up at us from newsstands to check-out counters. Not only that, but celebs have been popping up on the covers of general consumer magazines, too. Why? Because celebrity covers often sell far better than general news. And considering that we dream about 136,000 times in a lifetime?at least 87,000 hours worth?it's no wonder that our dreams are the stage for the most popular people on the planet." While many of the topics mentioned in the book are everyday items (such as fruit, cell phones), everyday incidents (driving, getting fired) and people we know intimately (your mother, brother, or ex-boyfriend), Brown also gives definitions to many A-listers who may co-star in your dreams, such as Gwyneth Paltrow, George Clooney, Julia Roberts, Matt Damon, Paris Hilton, Nicole Kidman, Renee Zellweger, and Tom Cruise.
Unlike most dream dictionaries, which are most filled with psychological interpretations and tout answers to mystic symbolism, Brown gives a more humorous take on the book's many subjects. For example, her definition for "running" ?an indication that it's time to shake up your life?changes its meaning when the dream includes Manolo Blahnik shoes.
"At that point, this dream is always cut short, as you are awakened by your own screams from leg muscle cramps, the result of running in wobbly but fashionable shoes."So, what exactly does it mean to dream about Brad Pitt? "It's an indication that you have a crush on your girlfriend's significant other?a guy who, up until now, was viewed as the unattainabale perfect guy--which is probably why you also blush whenever he's around, and laugh too loudly at his jokes. Of course, these dreams may have become more prevalent since the break-up of Jennifer and Brad, particularly if your intuition tells you that your friend's relationship is rocky as well. In this case, it may not work out for your friend, but it might work out just fine for you.".

A Wise PreacherBecause the preacher was wise, he taught the people knowledge; yea,he gave good heed, and sought out, and set "in order" many proverbs. Eccles. 12:9Let all things be done decently and "in order". 1 Cor. 14:40When passages are explained or even quoted "in order",as per our understanding (in our own language),their original intent cannot be missed.(example to follow)~ To the Suffering Church ~Turn Down the Oven1 Corinthians 12:18, 22-26Just because one's comely parts have 'no need' does not mean those, whose service seems less comely, do not have purpose, too.

Chinese Gooseberries and Oprah?
Oprah and Harpo Productions, consistently reap awe-inspiring progress and record-breaking profits even after 25 years. While Oprah consistently soars with stellar growth, the rest of the industry seems to stumble, tumble or even disappear. So, just what is it about Oprah that has her consistently reaping hilacious growth for more than two decades and still remain fresh and vivacious as ever? Oprah Winfrey has reinvented herself so smoothly, so successfully and with such precision, very few have consciously noticed! I believe Oprah is aware of the fact that annuals are-by nature-dormant for seasons at a time. She innovatively capitalizes on this truth and remains a "perennial classic."You Grow, Girl! Oprah consistently manifests phenomenal growth professionally, intellectually, spiritually, financially and socially every "season" of her year. Whereas others, seem content to rely primarily on the harvest of their "falls." Oprah is not only acutely aware of her environment, but she plans...
